I was truly blessed to spend many of my fondest childhood moments with Mary, John and many of the Coffey family. Mary was a wonderful example of unconditional love. Her contagious laughter and beautiful smile touched all she knew. Mary, Carol and their mom, Ruth, really knew how to put on a potluck lunch. Our church always looked forward to those events. Mary had a gift for teaching with love. Our youth group looked forward to Sunday School and VBS, knowing that Mary and the other ladies at our church put their hearts and souls into teaching the love of Jesus to all of us. I am forever grateful for the foundation she helped to establish in me.

Mary and I managed to stay in touch the past 60 years, mostly by phone. During our phone conversations we solved a boat load of the world's problems. We solved them all so everyone can rest easy now!
In 1962, we got really brave and went to Branson. There was nothing there but a gift shop and a hole in the ground. I haven't liked caves since then. It didn't bother Mary like it did me. Then on to Noel, Missouri and "twisted" the night away! Our first and only girls trip but we had a blast!
Mary was always a true and supportive friend. I loved her like a sister!

My sweet little Chickadee, I miss you dearly... We were chatterboxes the minute we first met, lol. Thank you for being my mom #2, friend, my mother in law and the best next door neighbor a person could have. So many good times just watching tv, working a puzzle, and hanging out in the yard. I agree with you on being kindred spirits definitely no doubt about it! This is not "Love you bye" rather "Love you see you later"...
