Dickens, Charlotte's Obituary
Charlotte Dickens, 77, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on June 5, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Charlotte was born on July 16, 1947, in San Angelo, Texas, to John C. Littlefield and Rita Littlefield Foster. She was formerly married to William Bryant Dickens, and together they had three children.
Until her passing, Charlotte was a devoted Gigi and guardian to her granddaughters, Mykayla and Madelyn - two of the greatest joys of her life. Charlotte dedicated 30 years of her professional life to Carter Healthcare as Marketing Director and retired in 2022.
She will be remembered for her resilience and authenticity. Known for her forthright nature, you always knew where you stood with her. Charlotte's tenacious spirit inspired those around her to persevere, and her candid conversations and genuine personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Above all, she will be remembered for the deep and unwavering love she gave to her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Dena Karol Alvis and David Bryant Dickens; five grandchildren; her sisters, Sharon Suess and Carol Knowles and her husband, Bob; and many dear friends and extended family.
She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Bella. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Casey Diane Dickens; her father, John C. Littlefield; and her mother, Rita Littlefield Foster.
A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held this summer in Edmond, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Beautiful Restoration Ministry in Edmond, Oklahoma, or the American Cancer Society. Charlotte will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
