Carol Diane McBroom's Obituary
Carol Diane McBroom, 68 passed peacefully into eternity on March 1st, 2025, in St Louis, Missouri. Carol was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 12th, 1956, to parents Roy Jene and Patsy Jean Hannaford.
Carol married the love of her life Jack McBroom on January 1st, 1985 and together they made many memories and shared a life together filled with laughter, devotion, and love, until his passing on April 27th, 2020.
Carol expressed her love for her friends and family with food. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her friends and family, her favorite times being the holidays when she was able to transform her house with seasonal decorations and festive foods. In addition to cooking for those she loved, Carol earned her associate’s degree in culinary arts from OSUIT and took her love of cooking to another level with catering opportunities.
Aside from her love of the culinary arts, Carol had a deep appreciation for antiques and always loved embarking on auction and flea market adventures, and girls trips with her friends.
Branson, Missouri was always her “Happy Place” and she visited as often as she could, so when it came time for her to decide where to spend her golden years, Branson was it. Carol moved to Branson permanently in 2022, and loved when her family and friends would come visit and she could show them around town. She’d take them to her favorite restaurants and of course, out to enjoy the shows; her favorites being Dean Z the Ultimate Elvis Show, The Haygoods, and Cassandre’ - The Voice of an Angel. Carol made it known that you always had a place to stay if you were in town.
Carol was known for her headstrong personality and her determination to enjoy life. She loved to laugh with her friends and often had them rolling with laughter because of her irreverent yet hilarious sense of humor. Through all of the fun and exciting times she had, there was still nothing she loved more than being a “Grammy”. She was always the happiest when she got to see or FaceTime her grandkids and great-granddaughter.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Patsy Hannaford, and husband Jack McBroom.
Carol is survived by her son Justin and wife Melissa Culp, brother Roy J. and wife Eileen Hannaford, brother Greg and wife Shelly Hannaford, granddaughter Joscelyn and husband Isaiah Little, granddaughter Landrey Culp and great-granddaughter Blaire Little, as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
